Daniel J. Rosen, MD – Dr. Rosen is a NYC bariatric surgeon. He specializes in the Lap-Band, Gastric Sleeve, Gastric Bypass, the Orbera Weight Loss Balloon, and Duodenal Switch. Dr. Rosen’s bariatric practice is based on the Upper East Side, serving the greater New York area including Brooklyn, Northern New Jersey, Long Island, and Manhattan.

As a general surgeon, he regularly performs laparoscopic minimally invasive abdominal procedures such as hernia repairs, gallbladder removals, and anti-reflux surgery.

He received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, trained in general surgery at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center, and completed fellowship training at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He has a dual fellowship in both bariatric surgery and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Daniel Rosen was born in Brooklyn, and completed his undergraduate degree from Cornell University.

Dr. Daniel Rosen is certified by the American Board of Surgery, and is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).  His research has been published in leading surgical journals, and is the recipient of multiple awards and recognitions.
